Jamarques Lawrence had a career-high 19 points, including six points and three assists in a decisive 14-1 second-half run, as Nebraska picked up a crucial 85-70 win at Indiana Wednesday night.

Lawrence played the best all-around game of his career, finishing with 19 points on 6-of-8 shooting, including a perfect 5-of-5 from 3-point range, while adding five assists and six rebounds, as Nebraska (19-8, 9-7 Big Ten) picked up its first conference road win.

Indiana had nearly erased a 22-point deficit and was within 59-56 with 11:27 remaining before Lawrence ignited the run with a 3-pointer before finding Juwan Gary and Josiah Allick on consecutive baskets to stretch the lead back to 10. The sophomore continued the run with another 3-pointer before he found Keisei Tominaga on a basket to give NU a 16-point lead with 6:19 left, and the Huskers led by double figures the rest of the night.

Keisei Tominaga led NU with 20 points, including four 3-pointers, while Brice Williams and Juwan Gary added 18 and 15 points, respectively. NU shot nearly 50 percent from the field and had 19 assists and just eight turnovers in the victory.

Mackenzie Mgbako led Indiana (14-12, 6-9) with 22 points while Kel’el Ware added 17 points and 12 rebounds. NU held Indiana to 4-of-1

Nebraska put together its best half of the season in the opening 20 minutes, shooting 57 percent from the floor, including 9-of-19 from 3-point range to take a 51-31 lead at the break. Tominaga had 18 first-half points, while Gary totaled 12 first-half points.

Nebraska got a quick start from Tominaga, as he hit a trio of 3-pointers in the first 5:01 as Nebraska built a 16-8 lead. The Huskers, who hit six of their first 11 from beyond the arc, extended the margin to 22-11 after a Gary 3-pointer with 12:01 left in the half forced a Hoosier timeout.

The Huskers eventually extended the lead to 40-22 after a Gary basket with 6:01 left before the Hoosiers mounted a comeback. Indiana used a 9-2 spurt over the next two minutes to pull within 42-31 after a Mgbako basket.

Nebraska, which held Hoosiers to 38 percent in the first 20 minutes, closed the half on 9-0 spurt as Brice Williams and Tominaga combined for all nine points as the Huskers took a 20-point lead into the locker room.

Nebraska extended the lead to 53-31 after a Brice Williams dunk on the opening play of the second half, but Indiana came out of the gate quickly, hitting 10 of its first 12 shots in the second half and used a 25-6 run to to cut NU’s 22-point lead to three points before the Huskers steadied the ship down the stretch.

The Huskers will return to action on Sunday, Feb. 25, as they host Minnesota. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. and the game will be televised on BTN and carried on the Huskers Radio Network. Lawrence's big night lifts Huskers past Indiana

Nebraska swimming and diving opened the Big Ten Championships on Wednesday evening in West Lafayette, Ind. with two podium finishes.

A relay team of Caitlin Cairns, JoJo Randby, Beatrix Tanko and Emily Haimes logged the second-fastest 200 medley relay time in school history. The group posted a 1:39.42 to place eighth in the first event of the meet.

In the 800 freestyle relay, Gena Jorgenson, Lexi Kucera, Giulia Marchi and Tanko posted a time of 7:11.31 for the third-fastest time in school history and another eighth-place finish.

After the first day of competition, the Huskers currently sit in seventh in the team standings with 88 points. Tomorrow’s session will begin at 9 a.m. (CT) with prelims and will continue at 4 p.m. (CT) with finals.

Husker Relays earn spots on All-Time list

COLUMBUS, OH. -&nbsp;The&nbsp;Omaha Supernovas&nbsp;fell to the Columbus Fury 25-12, 25-21, 23-25, 25-23 Wednesday night at Nationwide Arena for the Fury’s home opener.

Team captain&nbsp;Brooke Nuneviller&nbsp;spearheaded the Omaha attack, finishing with her fifth double-double of the season with 13 kills and 16 digs. In relief duty,&nbsp;Allison Mayfield&nbsp;popped off in her first sustained action of the season with 11 kills on a .269 clip. Opposite&nbsp;Jess Schaben-Lansman&nbsp;collected nine kills while middle blocker&nbsp;Danielle Hart&nbsp;added six. Schaben-Lansman also contributed the team’s two aces on the night.&nbsp;

Setter&nbsp;Natalia Valentín-Anderson&nbsp;dished out 36 assists to go along with 12 digs. Omaha had a season-low six blocks, but Hart led the way with three stuffs. The Supernovas hit .169 on the night.&nbsp;

Fury attacker Reagan Cooper hammered a match-high 22 kills to go with 11 digs. No. 1 overall pick Asjia O’Neal added 15 kills on a .520 hitting percentage with four of the team’s 12 blocks. Columbus hit .256, but failed to produce an ace.&nbsp;

SET 1:&nbsp;The Fury jumped out to an early lead fueled by its crowd as well as Cooper and O’Neal. Cooper collected three kills while O’Neal secured back-to-back kills to go up 7-2. The Supernovas closed the gap to one after consecutive hitting errors by Columbus in addition to a Hart kill and block.&nbsp;Leading 11-9, the Fury ran away with a 12-1 run as Cooper added three more kills and combined with O’Neal for two blocks. Schaben-Lasnman earned a kill to end the run, but an O’Neal kill down the line secured the 25-12 set one win for Columbus.&nbsp;

Cooper paced the Fury with seven kills while O’Neal and Samantha Dreschel added three kills apiece. Columbus hit .261 compared to Omaha’s .000.&nbsp;

Columbus fired off to hit .353 with O’Neal pacing the Fury with six kills. Cooper chipped in four more kills with Megan Courtney Lush hammering four kills. Each team ended the set with one block with Omaha collecting two aces.&nbsp;

SET 3:&nbsp;Omaha gained the advantage as action began in the third set with a 7-5 lead off a Fury net violation. Columbus fired back with a 3-0 run off back-to-back blocks to take an 8-7 lead. Omaha tied the set at 10 thanks to a Nuneviller kill, but the Fury’s Kaitlyn Hord and Courtney Lush combined on a block to complete a 4-1 run to give Columbus a 14-11 edge.&nbsp;

The Supernovas responded with their longest run of the night at 5-0 with Mayfield collecting a pair of kills in that span as Omaha took a 16-14 lead. The Fury scored four of the next five points to retake the lead, but three straight from Omaha gave the lead back to the Supernovas at 20-18 forcing a Fury timeout. A Vuchkova kill and hitting error by Columbus gave the Supernovas set point, but then came O’Neal with a kill and two blocks to make it 24-23. A hitting error by the Fury gave the set to Omaha 25-23.&nbsp;

Mayfield led the field with five kills with Schaben-Lansman adding three. Omaha hit .179. Cooper slammed down four kills while Courtney Lush had three. Columbus hit .111 with four blocks.

SET 4:&nbsp;Omaha continued its success into set four with a quick 4-1 lead off a pair of Mayfield kills. Columbus answered with four points of their own as O’Neal collected two kills and a block to go up 5-4. It was back and forth from there with no team gaining a larger lead than two.&nbsp;

Trailing 18-17, Columbus rallied off a 4-0 run to seize control at 21-18. Mayfield tallied two more kills as she helped cut the lead to 22-20. The Fury secured a block, but Nuneviller came up clutch with back-to-back kills to make it a one-point set at 23-22 to force a Columbus timeout.&nbsp;

Cooper slammed down her 22nd and final kill of the night to get the Fury to match point with O’Neal finishing it off with her 15th tally for a 25-23 set win.&nbsp;

The Supernovas continue their road trip with an afternoon showdown against the Orlando Valkyries on Sunday, February 25 at Addition Financial Arena in Orlando. First serve is set for 2 p.m. CST.&nbsp;

Scottsbluff, Neb. – Dazjanae Greene led the Knights with 13 points while Reece Halley chipped in 10 points in a 68-63 loss to Western Nebraska on Tuesday night in Scottsbluff.

Halley extended the Knights lead to three in the early minutes of the first quarter, but a 7-2 spurt helped the Cougars regain the lead on a floater by Gal-La Font. The lead changed hands two more times in the closing minutes as a three from Helena Kuck pushed Western Nebraska to a 16-15 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Western Nebraska extended their lead to 24-19, but five straight points from Nariah Golden evened the game up inside seven minutes to play. The Knights traded buckets with Western Nebraska down the stretch until a 7-1 run pushed the Cougars lead to 34-29 at halftime.

The Cougars offense found their rhythm in the third quarter to push their lead into double digits. North Platte countered with a 6-2 run to cut the margin to 55-43 headed into the fourth quarter. Knights opened the fourth with a 13-4 run as a three pointer from Mariah Gardner cut the deficit to three.

 Knights win streak snapped in loss to Cougars

North Platte finished the game shooting 40.3 percent (25-62) from the floor, but the Cougars knocked down 11-of-25 from long distance to aid in their win.&nbsp;

Knights fall to Cougars on the road

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — A former Nebraska women's basketball player alleges coach Amy Williams and athletic director Trev Alberts did not take appropriate action when her sexual relationship with an assistant coach became widely known.

Ashley Scoggin filed a civil lawsuit in U.S. District Court describing how Chuck Love allegedly took a special interest in her and how the relationship turned sexual and caused Scoggin to fear retaliation if she refused to engage in it.

The lawsuit was filed Sunday and names the university's Board of Regents and Love as defendants, in addition to Williams and Alberts. Scoggin seeks a jury trial in Lincoln and unspecified damages for the alleged violation of her civil rights.

“It's a very troubling and serious subject of predatory coaches that pursue sexual relationships with student-athletes,” Scoggin attorney Maren Chaloupka said Monday. "There's an enormous imbalance of power between the professional coach and student-athletes. This is something that was well known in 2022.

“Certainly Division I universities that operate at the top level are well aware of the harm that comes from this kind of a predatory situation, and there's a strong onus on the university and on the coaches to prevent this from happening and, heaven forbid it does happen, to address is correctly.”

University spokesperson Melissa Lee said the school was made aware of the lawsuit Monday.

“While the University does not comment on the specifics of pending litigation, it does not agree with the allegations contained in the complaint and intends to vigorously defend this matter,” Lee said in a statement.

Williams declined to comment. Alberts and Love did not respond to text and emails from The Associated Press seeking comment.

Scoggin played two seasons for the Cornhuskers. She was dismissed from the team on the same day Love was suspended with pay in February 2022.&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/sports-basketball-college-nebraska-womens-98044d650d2d3b60a68adb658bd894c3">Love resigned three months later.</a>&nbsp;Scoggin now plays at UNLV.

Williams and Alberts are accused of not setting rules, training or policies prohibiting staff members from having sexual relationships with athletes, with the lawsuit alleging that the lack of safeguards “was so reckless that misconduct involving sexual misconduct by coaches was inevitable as of September 2021."

Scoggin had an internship in the athletic department in the summer of 2021 and she expressed interest in becoming a coach someday. Love invited Scoggin to work at a small table in his office, and she accepted.

Love, who was married, asked Scoggin personal questions, including the type of alcohol she preferred, and Love began asking her to go out for drinks with him. Scoggin declined several invitations but eventually accepted one. A few days later, they met late at night in a Costco parking lot, where Love kissed her and asked, “Have you ever done anything with a coach before?”

The interaction left Scoggin feeling “confused and trapped” because “it was now undeniable that Love wanted a sexual relationship.” Once the relationship turned sexual, Love expected Scoggin to be “available and willing” whenever he wanted to have sex and included summoning her to his hotel room when the team traveled for away games.

On the night before a game at Penn State in February 2022, team members and practice players created a ruse to confirm and videotape Scoggin's presence in Love's hotel room. A male practice player falsely represented himself to the desk clerk as Love to obtain a duplicate room key. Two team members confronted Scoggin in Love's room. They reported their findings and showed the video to Williams.

“Williams cast Ashley in the role of a seducer and a liar,” the lawsuit said. “She allowed the players to berate and accuse Ashley for hours. She did not redirect or counsel the players that what they had seen may be the result of an abuse of power by her associate head coach.”

Upon returning to Lincoln, Scoggin was not informed of her rights under Title IX and in a meeting with Williams and other members of the administration was told she was off the team, according to the complaint.

Scoggin's dismissal and Love's suspension were reported simultaneously by the media.

“NU, Williams and Alberts were motivated to avoid scandal and embarrassment to the Cornhuskers women's basketball program instead of being motivated to protect its student-athlete, Ashley," the lawsuit said.

“NU, Williams and Alberts allowed the speculation and perception to fester that Ashley was ‘equally to blame’ or otherwise had done something improper when they should have sent a clear message that it is always improper for a professional coach to pursue a sexual relationship with a student-athlete.”

High School Basketball - Girls District Round 1 North Platte High School Vs. Lincoln Southeast

Nebraska swimming and diving heads to West Lafayette, Ind. for the Big Ten Championships, Feb. 21-24. Twelve teams will face off in hopes of clinching the conference title, starting with the 200 medley relay and the 800 freestyle relay Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 4 p.m. (CT) at the Morgan J. Burke Aquatic Center. The following three days of competition begin with prelims at 9 a.m (CT) and finals at 4 p.m. (CT).

Gena Jorgenson has racked up 19 individual victories throughout her season, while setting five career bests and notching six B standards. Jorgenson broke the 1000 freestyle school record in a dual with Illinois on Jan. 27 with a time of 9:41.68.

The sophomore from Aberdeen, S.D. tallied three B Cuts in the 500 freestyle, one of which earned her a career-best time at the Hawkeye Invite (4:43.87). Jorgenson’s other B standards came in the 1650 freestyle and the 400 IM.

JoJo Randby has posted two career bests and 15 top-three finishes so far this season, including a B Cut and victory in the 100 breaststroke at the Hawkeye Invite (1:00.54).&nbsp;

Maia Hall is a top contributor for the Big Red in the breaststroke events. The junior from Whitby, England took second-place in the 100 breaststroke at the Hawkeye Invite with a 1:01.20. In addition to the B Standard at the Hawkeye Invitational, Hall has swam a trio of B cuts in the 200 breaststroke.

Seniors Sarah Barton and Emily Haimes have a combined 36 top-three finishes this season. Barton is coming off a win against Rutgers in the 100 backstroke, after posting a career-best time of 54.84.&nbsp; Haimes has contributed to eight winning relays on the season and was a part of three in the Huskers’ last outing against Rutgers.

Giulia Marchi has found success for NU in the 200 freestyle. The sophomore from Asola, Italy has two victories in the event and set a career-best with her second-place finish at the Hawkeye Invitational (1:49.06).

Beatrix Tanko has been a force for the Huskers in her inaugural season. She hit the B Standard in the 100 butterfly at the Hawkeye Invitational with a 53.26. Tanko holds 14 top-three finishes, including six wins so far this season.

Anastasia Tichy earned a pair of B Cuts in the 200 butterfly. She logged her career-best time against Rutgers on Feb. 2 (1:58.20).

On the diving side, Abby Baxter leads the Huskers with 13 top-three finishes, including seven titles, while earning 17 zone-qualifying scores.

In her sophomore campaign for the Huskers, Kelsey Clairmont has notched 15 top-five finishes, including two titles.&nbsp;

The Huskers enter the competition at 7-2 on the season, with Big Ten wins over Illinois and Rutgers and conference losses to Minnesota and Iowa. NU avenged their loss to the Hawkeyes at the Hawkeye Invitational by placing first out of eight teams, including Iowa and Rutgers.

In the current CSCAA poll, five Big Ten teams are ranked in the top 25. Indiana is ranked sixth, and Ohio State is ranked eighth.

Huskers set for Big Ten Swimming Championships

The No. 8 Nebraska rifle team qualified for the 2024 NCAA Championships, as the NCAA announced the eight-team field Monday evening.&nbsp;

The Huskers will face off against West Virginia, TCU, Air Force, Kentucky, Alaska-Fairbanks, Ole Miss and Navy.&nbsp; The 2024 NCAA Championships take place in Morgantown, W.Va, on Friday-Saturday, March 8-9.

NU will make its second straight appearance under Miles and 20th appearance since becoming a varsity program in 1998. The Huskers’ qualifying score was based on its score from qualifiers last weekend and their top three regular-season scores at different locations throughout the season.&nbsp;

Nebraska returns an experienced roster as four shooters - seniors Cecelia Ossi and Madelynn Erickson, junior Mackenzie Strauch and sophomore Emma Rhode - all helped the Huskers to a sixth-place finish at the 2023 NCAA Championships.&nbsp;

Ossi, a four-time All-American, claimed the national title in smallbore in 2023 and will be looking to continue her success. Erickson (2023 CRCA Honorable Mention Smallbore) and Rhode (2023 CRCA Second-Team Air Rifle) are also returning All-Americans for the Huskers.&nbsp;

Huskers Rifle earn NCAA bid

Lindsey Thiele posted her first top-10 finish of the season, while Kelli Ann Strand added Nebraska's best round of the tournament with a 68 to tie for 11th and lead the Husker women's golf team up the standings on the final day of the Spartan Sun Coast Invitational on Monday in Sarasota, Fla.

Thiele, a senior from Wahoo, Neb., added a final-round 73 (+1) to Sunday's opening-round 70 (-2) to finish in a tie for seventh at 143 (-1). Thiele's second round was filled with ups and downs, as she recorded five birdies and six bogeys to go with seven pars on the 6,191-yard layout of the Champions Course at the Palm Aire Country Club. It was Thieles third career top-10 finish as a Husker.

"It was nice to see Lindsey play well this week," Nebraska Head Coach Jeanne Sutherland said. "She will take a lot away from this event that will help her the rest of the spring. Kelli Ann and Miu also showed their games today."

Strand cruised through Monday's 18 holes with four birdies and 14 pars to finish at four-under-par. The sophomore from Challis, Idaho, jumped 17 spots on the leader board into a tie for 11th with a 36-hole score of even-par 144 after an opening-round 76 in rough conditions on Sunday. Strand's 68 was her 11th round better than par in 17 total rounds this season, and her 29th career round under par in 55 rounds.

Junior Miu Takahashi contributed an impressive 69 (-3) to Nebraska's team score on Monday, vaulting 31 spots up the individual standings into a tie for 41st at 151 (+7) for the tournament. The junior from Nasu-machi, Japan carded four birdies and 13 pars against one bogey for the round.

Sydney Harz and Michaela Vavrova both closed the tournament with final rounds of 75 (+3). Harz tied with Husker teammate Andrea Velez in 67th, while Vavrova tied for 72nd in the 81-player field.

As a team, Nebraska posted a final-round 285 (-3), to move up two spots to 11th in the team standings. The Huskers (595) moved in front of both North Carolina State (598) and Kent State (603), while finishing just one shot back of Miami.

"We played a lot better today because we played to targets and with freedom," Nebraska Coach Jeanne Sutherland said. "Yesterday we played away from trouble and tried to control everything, and it just doesn't work. It was a good lesson to learn going into the meat of our spring schedule. We still have work to do with being in the right frame of mind to compete, but I liked what I saw today."

Ohio State (576) held off the College of Charleston (578) for the team title, while Tennessee secured third place after producing the best round of the tournament with a 281 (-7) on Monday. Ohio State's Kary Hollenbaugh took medalist honors with a 36-hole score of 136, including a final-round 65 (-7).

The Huskers head West for the first time this spring to compete at the Westbrook Spring Invitational in Peoria, Ariz., Feb. 25-26.

Friday night at state wrestling tournament: Preview

&nbsp; Kearney, Neb. –&nbsp;Southern Nazarene junior Maddie Southerland threw a complete game eight hitter and East Central catcher Jami Waston hit a walk-off double to help the Crimson Storm,&nbsp;<a href="https://lopers.com/boxscore.aspx?path=softball&amp;id=7785" target="_blank">7-0</a>, and the Tigers,&nbsp;<a href="https://lopers.com/boxscore.aspx?path=softball&amp;id=7784" target="_blank">3-2</a>, beat Nebraska&nbsp;Kearney&nbsp;Thursday in Oklahoma.

The games are part of the three-day Raising Cane’s Softball Festival in the Oklahoma City Metro area. UNK (3-3) faces Oklahoma Baptist and&nbsp;Ouachita&nbsp;(Ark.) Baptist Friday at Deer Creek High School in Edmond.

The&nbsp;Lopers&nbsp;recorded a combined 18 hits today and drew nine walks as well. However, the Blue &amp; Gold left 21 runners on base and had two runners thrown out at home plate in the setback to ECU.

In the early contest at Central Oklahoma, freshman&nbsp;Daniella Morillas&nbsp;(Newcastle, Calif.) shut out East Central (6-4) over the first six innings. However, the Tigers used an infield single, walk, sac bunt, infield error, sac fly and Watson’s two out, two strike double to score three times in its final at bat.

Leadoff&nbsp;hitter and shortstop&nbsp;Mary Chvatal&nbsp;(Wahoo) went 2 for 4 and scored twice, freshman third baseman&nbsp;Giana Galli&nbsp;(Stockton, Calif.) was 2 for 2 with an RBI and junior first baseman&nbsp;Leah Jurgens&nbsp;(Lincoln) finished 2 for 4. Finally, Morillas received a no decision as she&nbsp;worked around three hits and five walks in 103 pitches.&nbsp;

Down the road in Bethany, Okla., Southerland helped the Crimson Storm (5-5) rebound from a 2-0 loss to Fort Hays State by throwing 114 pitches against the&nbsp;Lopers. The junior college transfer worked around four walks and eight singles to keep UNK off the board.

At the plate, SNU scored all its runs over the final four innings. An 11-hit attack was led by right fielder&nbsp;Mikayla&nbsp;Oaks, shortstop and eight-hole hitter Kristen Mullendore and center fielder and nine-hole hitter Maddie Riley. Each went 3 for 3 and combined for five RBI’s and five runs scored.

Lopers Walked Off by ECU, Shut Out by SNU

HENDERSON, NV. -&nbsp;The Omaha Supernovas spoiled the Vegas Thrill’s first-ever home match with a 25-15, 24-26, 25-22, 25-19 four-set win Thursday night at the Dollar Loan Center in front of a crowd of 3,974. With the victory, Omaha (3-2) finished its two-match road trip unbeaten while avenging a five-set loss to Vegas on February 7.&nbsp;

Four Supernovas reached double-digit points in what was a balanced effort from Omaha. Team captain&nbsp;Brooke Nuneviller&nbsp;led the way with 18 points which included a team-high 15 kills, two aces and one block. That also involved a double-double with 13 digs. Two-time olympian&nbsp;Bethania de la Cruz&nbsp;came alive offensively, slamming down 14 kills on a .330 hitting percentage with 12 digs and one ace for 15 points.&nbsp;Jess Schaben-Lansman&nbsp;secured 11 more kills along with 12 digs for a double-double.&nbsp;

Middle blockers&nbsp;Hristina Vuchkova&nbsp;and&nbsp;Tori Dixon&nbsp;each had 12 points as both players totaled nine kills. Vuchkova was a force at the net tying a match-high five blocks while Dixon had three. The Minnesota graduate was more efficient offensively, hitting .333. Dixon has now hit .333 or above in four of the five matches this season.&nbsp;

Omaha setter&nbsp;Natalia Valentin-Anderson&nbsp;picked up her second-straight start and finished with 20 assists before&nbsp;Sydney Hilley&nbsp;took over duties in the second set. The Wisconsin product dished out 31 assists with six digs and one kill.&nbsp;

Supernovas libero&nbsp;Kendall White&nbsp;dug out 11 balls with two assists. Omaha hit .247 on the night with 11 blocks, 62 digs and five aces.&nbsp;

Thrill outside hitter Hannah Maddux recorded a match-high 19 points consisting of 16 kills and 13 digs. Saskia Hippe had 18 points, but finished with a match-high 17 kills, 10 digs and one block. Thrill setter Alisha Glass-Childress totaled 44 assists with 19 digs, two kills and one block.&nbsp;

Vegas (1-2) hit .222 with 13 blocks and 66 digs, but failed to ace the Supernovas.&nbsp;

SET 1:&nbsp;Nuneviller led Omaha to a strong start putting the Vegas passers in duress with two aces, plus a kill to climb out to a 5-1 lead. After two straight terminations by the Thrill, Vuchkova spearheaded another Omaha run, with the Bulgarian middle blocker and Schaben-Lansman producing a kill apiece in a 4-0 rally to extend the lead to 9-3. The two teams exchanged blows from there with Dixon and Schaben-Lansman putting down two kills each to keep the lead at 15-10. De la Cruz got into the action with her first kill to make it 16-10, but back-to-back points by the Thrill cut the lead to four. Schaben-Lansman kept up her impressive set with another kill and teamed up with Dixon for a stuff to extend the Supernovas lead to 20-13, forcing a Vegas timeout. The Jennies (17-6, 11-6) avenge a 79-74 overtime loss to the Lopers (17-7, 11-7) earlier this year and improve to 9-1 at home vs. UNK since 2012-13. Finally, this is the eighth straight game in the series decided by 10 points or less.

Littrell came in averaging 19.1 points and 8.7 rebounds per game but got into some foul trouble early on. She had just four points over the first three quarters but went for 14 in the final 10 minutes. She made all five shots she attempted, went 4 of 5 at the line and grabbed three rebounds.

"Proud of the execution at the moment since we were out of timeouts."McCool had 19 points in the first half and 10 more in the second to have a new career-high point total. While her streak of seven double doubles came to an end (six rebounds), she had 10 buckets and nine freebies tonight. Her previous career-best of 25 points came last season vs. Central Oklahoma."She was unbelievably good. We probably didn't get her the ball enough in the fourth, but we couldn't seem to get her any space," said Johnson. "She was so heady the way she played and attacked. She made a lot of right decisions … when to kick it, when not to."Besides&nbsp;Littrell, three other starters and Holden (10) scored in double figures.
