The Nebraska beach volleyball team picked up two wins in a doubleheader against Hawaii Hilo on Monday in Hawaii.
With the wins, the Huskers improved to 12-7 this season. Nebraska will finish its stay in Hawaii on Tuesday with a 4 p.m. (CT) match against the Vulcans.
Ally Batenhorst and Bergen Reilly were NU's No. 1 pair on Monday and swept both matches, 21-18, 21-14 and 21-16, 21-16. Lindsay Krause and Lexi Rodriguez were the Huskers' No. 2 team and won 21-14, 21-14 and 21-9, 21-9.
Merritt Beason and Harper Murray picked up 21-15, 21-14 and 21-16, 21-14 wins as the No. 3 pair. Laney Choboy and Skyler Pierce held their opponents to single digits all four sets: 21-9, 21-9 and 21-7, 21-4.
Andi Jackson and Olivia Mauch won their first match at No. 5, 22-20, 21-14. The duo came up just short in their second match of the day: 19-21, 20-22.
Maisie Boesiger and Kyla Kenney also went 2-0 on the day, winning 21-14, 22-20 and 21-16, 23-21.
