North Platte, Neb. – North Platte Community College had four men’s golfers finish in the top 10 at the Nebraska Junior College Invite on Wednesday. Knights finished just eight shots back from eventual winner McCook Community College.
Jayden Jones wrapped up the tournament with a round of 74, as he finished second amongst the collegiate golfers in the field. David Winkelmann (+6), Taytom Timbers (+7) and Cole Kramer (+8) each finished one stroke apart to finish in the top 10.
Treyten York carded a round of 80 (+9) to tie for 11th place, while Caeson Clarke rounded out the Knights golfers with a round of 82 (+11).
Knights will get a few weeks off to prepare for the three-day district championship tournament beginning on Sunday, May 5. The location for the tournament will be determined by the National Junior College Athletic Association.
