Lincoln, NE–July 16, 2024–Kimberly McPhaul of Omaha is the fourth winner of a 2024 Ford F-150 XLT 4x4 SuperCrew truck in the 29th edition of the Nebraska Lottery’s $2 Truck$ & Buck$ Scratch game.
McPhaul purchased her winning Truck$ & Buck$ ticket at Hy-Vee Food Store #04 at 10808 Fort St. in Omaha. She was presented with her new truck at Hy-Vee on Monday, July 15 by Nebraska Lottery officials.
McPhaul stopped at Hy-Vee to grab a few last minute items for a Fourth of July family get-together. While she was there, she decided she might as well get some Scratch tickets.
She brought the groceries home and sat down to scratch her tickets, surrounded by her family. McPhaul said she was stunned at what she saw.
“They didn’t believe me,” McPhaul said. “I yelled, ‘I won a truck!’”
“You screamed,” her husband David McPhaul reminded her.
McPhaul said she currently drives a pickup truck, but there’s plenty of room in the driveway for a new one. She said her daughter jokes that she should give the truck to her, but McPhaul has other ideas.
“This one’s all mine,” she said.
