(Morrill County) Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol have arrested one individual following a fatal crash in Morrill County.
At approximately 2:26 p.m. MT on Tuesday, November 12, troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol received a report of a crash on Highway 385 near mile marker 93. A preliminary investigation shows that a 2020 Chevrolet Express delivery van was traveling southbound on Highway 385 when it failed to slow down for a stopped southbound Ford F-150 that was waiting for cattle to cross the road. The delivery van attempted to switch lanes to avoid the vehicle, however the driver struck the stopped vehicle.
The Ford F-150 was occupied by one adult, identified as Kim Wills, 65, of Alliance, was administered CPR and transported to Morrill County Community Hospital, where she was declared deceased.
The driver of the delivery van, Daniel Flores, 21, of Mitchell, was arrested for motor vehicle homicide and careless driving. He was lodged in Morrill County Jail.
