North Platte, Neb. - North Platte closed out its four-game series with Trinidad State College on Wednesday, dropping both games of a doubleheader.

The Knights jumped ahead early with first-inning home runs from Nayely Duran and Heaven Hutchison. Trinidad responded by tying the game at 3-3 in the second inning, but North Platte answered with four runs in the bottom half to regain the lead.
The Trojans chipped away with one run in the third and two in the fourth, then took control with a three-run sixth inning. They added three more late, while North Platte was unable to respond.
Brooklyn Deibert got the start for the Knights, pitching 1.2 innings while allowing three hits and three runs, along with four walks. Duran led the offense, going 3-for-4 at the plate.

North Platte again started fast, scoring four runs in the first inning. Trinidad answered in the second with a pair of two-run home runs to tie the game.
The Knights briefly regained the lead, but the Trojans broke it open in the third with eight runs and added one more in the fourth.
Kaylee Davis started in the circle for North Platte, pitching 2.2 innings while allowing 10 runs (eight earned) on nine hits. She struck out three and walked two.
North Platte (2-12) will continue Region 9 play on the road against Luna Community College, opening a four-game doubleheader series Saturday at 12 p.m.
