Former Nebraska tight end Heinrich Haarberg has signed a free agent deal with the Carolina Panthers, per multiple reports including ESPN Tri-Cities and his former Kearney Catholic coaches.
Haarberg began his career at quarterback before transitioning to tight end ahead of his senior season. In 2025, he played in all 13 games, catching eight passes for 52 yards and a touchdown while adding nine carries for nine yards. He had previously shown up on rookie minicamp workout lists with both the Seahawks and 49ers before landing with Carolina.
At Nebraska's Pro Day in March, Haarberg weighed 238 pounds and ran the 40 in a reported 4.45 to 4.55 seconds, while also posting a 10-foot-8 broad jump and 38-inch vertical.
