Nebraska softball two-way player and team captain Jordy Frahm was recognized as the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year, the organization announced on Tuesday.

Frahm was a top 3 finalist for the award last season and top 10 in 2022 and 2023.

The senior has helped Nebraska to Big Ten regular-season and tournament titles this season, and has aided NU to its eighth overall Women’s College World Series appearance. She ranks in the top 10 nationally in ERA (fourth), saves (first), shutouts (fourth), strikeout-to-walk ratio (third), strikeouts (ninth) and WHIP (fifth).

Frahm was the Big Ten Pitcher of the Year and has been named a First-Team All-American by both Softball America and D1 Softball. She is looking to become just the 14th player ever to be named a four-time NFCA First-Team All-American when those teams are announced on Wednesday.

If the season were to end today, Frahm would rank in the top 10 in program history in total bases (second), slugging percentage (fourth), extra-base hits (fifth) runs scored (fifth), batting average (sixth), home runs (sixth), hits (eighth) and triples (10th).

This season, Frahm leads the Big Red offense with a .416 batting average and 19 home runs. If she were to hit one more home run this season, she would become the first Husker with multiple 20+ home run seasons. Frahm adds 50 RBI, 11 doubles and 59 runs scored. She has a slugging percentage of .827 and an on-base percentage of .511, for an OPS of 1.338.
