DAMASCUS —U.S. forces conducted a series of air strikes Friday against multiple ISIS camps in Syria on Friday, according to a statement from the U.S. Central Command.
Officials reported early Saturday they conducting battle damage assessments. Early indications suggested there were no civilians casualties.
"The strikes will disrupt the ability of ISIS to plan, organize and conduct attacks against the United States and its allies and partners and civilians throughout the region and beyond."
The Command reported they would released additional details as they confirm more information.
There are some 900 U.S. forces in Syria, according to the Associated Press along with an undisclosed number of contractors.
