Lottery players will have a chance to compete for two massive jackpots this weekend as both Mega Millions and Powerball continue to grow without a grand prize winner.
The Nebraska Lottery says the estimated Mega Millions jackpot has reached $743 million for Friday night's drawing, with a cash option of $323.4 million. The jackpot is the largest for the game since October 2025 and ranks as the 10th largest Mega Millions jackpot in history. The current run includes 36 consecutive drawings without a jackpot winner dating back to March 20.
Powerball isn't far behind. Saturday night's drawing features an estimated $600 million jackpot, or $266.4 million as a cash option, after 35 drawings without a jackpot winner since May 4.
The Nebraska Lottery is encouraging players to enjoy the excitement responsibly by setting spending and time limits before purchasing tickets.
While no Nebraskan has claimed either jackpot during the current runs, several players have taken home significant prizes in recent weeks. Winning tickets include:
- A $20,000 Mega Millions ticket sold in Kimball for the May 29 drawing.
- A $50,000 Powerball ticket sold in Scribner for the May 30 drawing.
- A $20,000 Mega Millions ticket sold in Lincoln for the July 10 drawing.
- A $50,000 Powerball ticket sold in Omaha for the July 13 drawing.
The largest Mega Millions jackpot ever won was $1.602 billion in Florida in August 2023. The record Powerball jackpot stands at $2.04 billion, won by a single ticket in California in November 2022.
