North Platte, NE — The North Platte Public Schools Foundation is thrilled to announce that it has awarded a $10,000 grant to Catalyst STEM Learning, marking an exciting milestone for STEM education in our community. This initiative will officially pilot its program at Lake Maloney Elementary and Jefferson Elementary School during the 2024-2025 school year, engaging over 400 students from Kindergarten to 5th grade.
“We are incredibly excited to bring this opportunity to North Platte,” said Shreya Agrawal, Founder and Executive Director at Catalyst STEM Learning. “This grant will help ignite curiosity and creativity in young minds through hands-on learning experiences in science, technology, engineering, and math.”
Catalyst STEM Learning aims to inspire the next generation of problem-solvers, innovators, and critical thinkers by making STEM education more accessible and engaging. Throughout the year, students will have the chance to explore real-world challenges and collaborate on projects that deepen their understanding of core STEM concepts.
“This partnership between the NPPS District, ESU#16 and Catalyst STEM Learning will benefit not only the NPPS students but also our teachers and the entire community,” said Terri Burchell, Executive Director of North Platte Public Schools Foundation. “We look forward to seeing the impact this pilot program will have in fostering a love for STEM and preparing our students for the future.”
