Jennifer Soper has been named the new Mid-Plains Community College Ogallala Campus Administrator. She will be responsible for coordinating and supervising college operations at the community campus and working with local leaders to develop and deliver education and training opportunities.
The Grant, Neb., native started at Adams Bank and Trust in Imperial right out of high school, transferring to the Ogallala location in 2005 where she most recently was a commercial banker.
As a banker she enjoyed the opportunity to help people succeed, however in her new role, she said is looking forward to having a more direct impact on students’ lives.
“As a non-traditional student who earned a degree later in life, I am passionate about education, and ensuring rural communities have access to relevant programs,” she said.
Soper is looking forward to working with students, the community, enhancing educational access and ensuring workforce development.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. You can find them at the lake boating, on the golf course or cheering on the Huskers.
