Lexington, Neb. - The Lexington Police Department suspects no foul play in the death of a man who was found lying in an alley last week.
On Thursday, June 13th at 6:15 pm, officers along with Lexington Fire and Rescue were dispatched to an alley downtown to a call of a male subject laying down. When first responders arrived on scene and evaluated the situation, it was determined the suspect was deceased.
According to the Lexington Police Department, investigation has revealed that the male subject was a 39-year-old not from the United States and was homeless. He had been in the Lexington area for one - two months. The male has been identified by officials but are withholding his identity pending family notification as they are still searching for any family.
Evidence at the scene and an autopsy finding showed the male suffered rear head injuries, presumably from a backwards fall according to officials. No foul play is suspected. The investigation is still on-going.
