(North Platte, Neb.) — Weather permitting, work will continue on Jeffers Street, with the primary areas being the B Street and Francis Street intersections, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Beginning Monday, Nov. 4, continuation of work on the B Street intersection traffic signals will occur, followed by completion of sidewalk, and imprinted surfacing. Lane closures on Jeffers Street, as well as some traffic delays on B Street can be expected during this this work.
Beginning Monday, Nov. 11, continuation of work on the Francis Street intersection traffic signals will occur, followed by completion of sidewalk and imprinted surfacing. Lane closures on Jeffers Street, as well as some traffic delays on Francis Street can be expected during this work.
Paulsen Inc. of Cozad is the contractor for this project. Work includes reconstructing the pavement, including sidewalks and driveways, as well as a new storm sewer system, street lighting, and traffic signals. Anticipated project completion is Dec. 2024.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
