Lexington, Neb. - A man is facing numerous charges including Attempted Murder after attacking a man with a knife Tuesday afternoon according to officials.
According to the Lexington Police Department (LDP), on Tuesday, July 16th around 4:00pm, officers responded to a call that an man was assaulted. Upon arrival, officers determined the 39-year-old was assaulted.
The suspect, identified as Ebeer Deres Gamolier, fled the scene on a bicycle but was later apprehended by police. Deres Gamolier is believed to be in his early 20's.
Witnessess of the incident reported to police that the suspect had placed a knife to the victims throat and tried to cut his throat. The victim placed his hand over the knife and received serious injuries to his hand.
The 39-year-old victim was transported to Lexington Regional Hospital to receive treatment.
Ebeer Deres Gamolier was booked into the Dawson County Jail and is facing numerous charges including Attempted Murder, Use Of A Weapon to Commit a Felony and Terroristic Threats.
The LPD says the investigation is ongoing.
