(Ainsworth, Neb.) — The Long Pine Creek Bridge on highway US-20 at mile marker 250.11 reopened Friday afternoon.
Iowa Civil Contracting, Inc. and the Nebraska Department of Transportation are pleased to announce that the Long Pine Creek Bridge will be opening to traffic 20 days ahead of schedule. The bridge was closed on May 28, 2024 for extensive repairs.
Initially the bridge will be open to normal two-lane traffic with occasional single lane closures, using flaggers. A bridge deck overlay will be applied in Sept. requiring single lane closures, using traffic signals. The project is expected to befully complete by late-Sept. 2024.
