Maywood, Neb.- A school administrator with Maywood Public Schools has been arrested and charged with child abuse according to officials.
According to the Frontier County Sheriff's Office (FCSO), the department was made aware of an incident that occurred at Maywood Public Schools between the administrator and a 12-year-old student which was caught on the school's surveillance camera. The incident occurred on October 1st.
The administrator was identified as Mark Bejot, the superintendent for Maywood Public Schools. FCSO says after the investigation, the Nebraska Attorney General's Office filed a criminal complaint against Bejot for child abuse not resulting in serious bodily injury, a class 3A felony. Bejot is set to appear in court on November 1st.
