Paxton, Neb. - Two people were injured in an accident on I-80 near Paxton that shut down the westbound lanes for a few hours Monday morning according to officials.
According to the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP), the accident occurred around 5:40 am around mile marker 151, just a few miles east of Paxton.
NSP states the accident involved multiple semi-trucks. Two people suffered minor injuries and were transported to the hospital. I-80 westbound from Sutherland to Paxton would reopen around 9:30am. During the closure, traffic was diverted to U.S. Highway 30.
The crash remains under investigation.
