NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (June 13, 2025) — The Lincoln County Detention Center is temporarily housing 63 immigrants who were transported by federal Immigration Enforcement on Thursday evening, according to a statement from Sheriff Jerome Kramer.

The individuals will remain in custody while undergoing legal proceedings to determine their eligibility for work authorization in the United States.

“I agreed to accept these individuals because we have access to the resources necessary to ensure the process is handled quickly, fairly, and accurately,” Kramer said. “This is about helping people get their status corrected — not punishment.”

Sheriff Kramer said a dedicated team is already in place to support the effort, including interpreters from Hope Esperanza and several legal aid professionals. He noted that the team is being provided at no cost to Lincoln County taxpayers.

“It’s my hope that, where appropriate, we can help detainees complete the process to correct their work status, and reunite them with families or employers,” Kramer said.

He emphasized that none of the immigrants being housed are violent offenders, and that the safety of the community and current inmates at the facility remains secure.

OGALLALA, Neb. (June 13, 2025) — Anglers are seeing solid success on Lake McConaughy this week, with a strong night bite for walleye reported near the face of the dam, according to the latest outdoor report from Nebraska Game and Parks.

Walleye are also being caught in 8 to 20 feet of water near Lemoyne, where a good white bass bite is underway. During the day, smallmouth bass of notable size are being reeled in along the rocky points on the lake’s south side and near the dam.

Surface water temperatures near the dam are holding around 66 degrees Fahrenheit.

Lake McConaughy is currently at an elevation of 3,234.8 feet, with a storage level of 74,600 acre-feet — about 55.9% of capacity. Inflows this week are around 850 cubic feet per second, while outflows are at approximately 2,400 cfs. Updated water level information is available at <a href="https://cnppid.com/lake-river-data">cnppid.com/lake-river-data</a>.

With Father’s Day weekend approaching, both Lake McConaughy and Lake Ogallala remain popular destinations, but campsites — including basic, electric, and primitive sites — are still available. Reservations can be made online at <a href="https://outdoornebraska.gov/">outdoornebraska.gov</a> by clicking the "Reservations" tab, or by calling the Lake McConaughy Visitor Center at 308-284-8800.

Reservations for beach camping may be made up to 30 days in advance, while modern campgrounds with electricity can be reserved up to 180 days in advance.

Fire Safety Reminder:
Campfires are currently allowed at both Lake McConaughy and Lake Ogallala, but visitors are urged to follow fire safety protocols. Fires must be contained within designated fire rings no larger than 3 feet, and should never be left unattended. Always fully extinguish fires before leaving. Fireworks remain strictly prohibited at both State Recreation Areas and throughout Keith County.

HERSHEY, Neb. (June 13, 2025) — Texas country star Casey Donahew will headline this year’s Hershey Fall Festival concert, capping off a full day of community celebration in downtown Hershey on Saturday, Aug. 23.

The announcement was made Friday morning during an interview on Eagle Media’s Q-Country Classic's 107.3 and Z 93.5 Country between host Derek Beck and Zach Janus, promoter with Flexed Entertainment.

“We’re excited to bring Casey Donahew to Hershey,” Janus said. “He’s been a favorite in Nebraska for more than a decade, and this show is going to be a perfect way to end a day full of festival fun.”

Donahew, a mainstay of the Texas country music scene, has built a loyal following with hits like White Trash Story, Double-Wide Dream, and Let’s Not Say Goodbye Again. He recently released a new album, which fans will hear live under the stars in Hershey for the first time.

“He’s good beer-drinking music,” Janus said. “If you’ve seen him once, you’ll want to see him again—and if you haven’t, this is the time.”

The concert will take place on a stage set up in downtown Hershey, with the village’s signature rail line as a scenic backdrop.

Kicking off the evening will be Nebraska native Drew Phillips, a rising country artist who has opened for Donahew in the past. Phillips, dubbed the “hometown cowboy,” is returning to the Hershey stage following a successful past appearance at the festival.

Festival organizers have shifted the event to late August in recent years to better fit local schedules and family budgets.

“With school back in session and summer winding down, it’s a great excuse to get out and enjoy one last big celebration,” Janus said.

Tickets for the concert are now on sale and can be purchased through Flexed Entertainment and Hershey Fall Festival social media pages. Physical tickets will be available locally through Outhouse Tickets.

Eagle Media also kicked off the celebration with a ticket giveaway Friday morning, inviting listeners to call in for a chance to win a pair of tickets ahead of Father’s Day weekend.

OGALLALA, Neb. (June 12, 2025) — A Nebraska State Trooper narrowly avoided injury early Thursday when a semi struck his patrol vehicle on Interstate 80 in western Nebraska.

The incident happened around 12 a.m. MT in a construction zone between Roscoe and Ogallala, where only one lane of traffic is open in each direction. Troopers had responded to a disabled semi blocking westbound traffic and were directing vehicles through the area.

As traffic was being managed, a westbound semi failed to slow down and collided with the trooper’s parked cruiser before striking the trailer of an oncoming eastbound semi. The trooper was outside of his vehicle at the time and was able to run to safety.

No injuries were reported. The driver of the westbound semi was cited for reckless driving. I-80 was closed for more than an hour following the crash.

The Keith County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation at the request of the Nebraska State Patrol.

LINCOLN, Neb.&nbsp; — Twelve Nebraska counties have been designated as primary natural disaster areas following prolonged drought conditions, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced in a letter to Gov. Jim Pillen on June 2.

The designation, made by USDA Deputy Under Secretary Brooke Appleton, comes after data from the U.S. Drought Monitor showed that the counties either endured severe drought (D2) for eight or more consecutive weeks or experienced extreme (D3) or exceptional (D4) drought levels during the growing season — thresholds that trigger federal assistance.

The affected counties include Blaine, Brown, Dawson, Deuel, Hooker, Kimball, Lincoln, Logan, McPherson, Platte, Rock and Thomas.

This Secretarial disaster declaration allows farmers and ranchers in both primary and contiguous counties to apply for Farm Service Agency (FSA) emergency loans. These loans are designed to help producers recover from losses by financing the replacement of essential assets such as livestock or equipment, covering operating expenses, or restructuring existing debt.

Eligible producers have eight months from the date of the declaration — until February 2, 2026 — to submit loan applications. Each application is evaluated on its individual merits, including the extent of production losses, available collateral, and the applicant’s ability to repay.

Producers seeking assistance are encouraged to contact their local FSA office for guidance on the application process.

OGALLALA, Neb. — Dog owners curious about their pets’ behavior can gain insight next week during a special presentation hosted by Mid-Plains Community College.

“Understanding Your Dog,” a two-hour class led by dog trainer Kaitlyn Garro, will be held Wednesday, June 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the college’s Ogallala campus. The course costs $20 and is open to anyone interested in learning more about canine psychology and training techniques.

Garro, a former Illinois-based trainer, said the class aims to help people “see inside their dog’s head” and understand what truly motivates their behavior.

“A lot of people think a Chihuahua doesn’t really need that much training, but believe me, they do,” Garro said. “Same with any other dog. They all need a little shaping.”

Participants will explore everyday tools and approaches to reinforce positive behavior and decode common canine quirks.

Brandi Dannatt has been named the new Mid-Plains Community College Imperial Campus Administrator. In this role, she will oversee campus operations, collaborate with local leaders and help shape educational and workforce training opportunities tailored to the region’s needs.

The Benkelman, Neb., native has been an early elementary educator for the past 10 years.&nbsp; She most recently taught first grade at Chase County Schools.

An MPCC alum, Dannatt said, “I feel like I’m coming home.”&nbsp;

Dannatt earned a bachelor’s of elementary education from Chadron State College and a master’s of principalship from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

“I loved teaching,” Dannatt said. “What excites me most is helping my former students in determining their next steps.”

With firsthand experience in personalized learning, Dannatt understands that education is not one-size-fits-all. She plans to bring that same approach to community engagement and workforce development.

“What do businesses and individuals in our community need—and how can we best support them?” she said. “Our doors are open. Come talk to us—the possibilities are endless.”

Dannatt is excited to begin working closely with students and community members to enhance access to education and drive regional growth.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two daughters. “My girls are always at my left and right hip,” she shared with a smile. The family loves outdoor activities and their newest adventure—raising goats.

(North Platte) Today, Senator Mike Jacobson of North Platte announced his intention to seek re-election to continue serving Legislative District 42. The district comprises Lincoln, Hooker, Thomas, McPherson and Perkins Counties.

"When I ran for legislature over three years ago, I promised to put our district first over politics and get results for my neighbors,” Jacobson said. “Over the last three years my track record has proven that I’ve lived up to that promise—working with my colleagues to find solutions to the most important challenges facing our families, our communities, and our state.”

In the 2025 legislative session Jacobson was instrumental in the passage of legislation that supports funding for rural critical access hospitals such as Great Plains Health. He also led the conversation for property tax relief and sponsored legislation to create greater railroad safety measures in light of 2025 derailments.

“Serving as your senator has been the honor of my life,” Jacobson said. “From North Platte to Mullen and Thedford, I’ve listened to every taxpayer and family and worked hard to be a strong voice that represents the best interests of our district, and not those of special interests. I look forward to continuing what we started in getting results for our district.”

Senator Mike Jacobson Announces Re-Election Campaign

OGALLALA, Neb. — As summer begins to heat up, the Ogallala City Council faced a packed agenda Tuesday night, with discussion spanning fireworks restrictions, a new drone show, street repairs, and public transit funding.

City Manager Kevin Wilkins recapped the meeting Wednesday morning in an interview with the Sandhills Post, highlighting the council’s efforts to balance public safety, fiscal responsibility, and community engagement amid a summer season already shaped by drought concerns and budgetary challenges.

One of the most emotionally charged topics of the night was the city’s ongoing fireworks ban. With a fire ban in place for several months and Keith County maintaining restrictions due to dry conditions, Wilkins said city leaders weighed the risks against the public’s desire for tradition.

“There’s a general understanding that within city limits, where you’ve got irrigated lawns, concrete streets, and garden hoses, the risk of wildfires is much lower,” Wilkins said. “But staying in harmony with the county is important, especially when many don’t recognize the boundary between the two jurisdictions.”

Despite some community support for limited fireworks within the city, the council voted 3-2 to remain aligned with the county’s ban—at least for now. A review is scheduled for June 24. If the county lifts its ban and conditions improve, the city may follow suit.

“The public discussion was courteous and respectful,” Wilkins added. “It worked the way government should.”

With traditional fireworks off the table, Ogallala will light up the sky with a modern twist: a drone light show on Saturday, July 5.

The city secured a 200-drone performance at a discounted rate of $25,000—the same amount it had budgeted for fireworks.

However, Wilkins noted that fundraising fell $6,000 short this year, with taxpayers ultimately covering more than $12,000 of the event’s cost. As a result, the city is stepping away from organizing future July 4th celebrations, encouraging civic groups to take the lead.

“In years past, it was local organizations like the Chamber putting on these shows,” Wilkins said. “Now it’s time to return that responsibility to the community.”

The council confirmed that while the city won’t manage future events, it remains open to financially supporting qualified civic or private efforts.

In other business, the council approved a contract for federally mandated public transit scheduling software, despite concerns over upcoming state budget cuts that may slash funding by as much as 30%.

“We don’t like the software, and it will disrupt how we currently manage transit,” Wilkins said. “But we’re mandated to have it, so we went ahead with the purchase this year to avoid further complications down the road.”

The council also passed a resolution enabling Ogallala to enter into the 5311 Federal Transit Administration program for ongoing funding, despite the uncertainty surrounding future allocations.

An item brought forward by Police Chief James Herman and Wilkins aimed to allow for negotiation of vehicle impound fees under extenuating circumstances. The council, however, rejected the proposal.

“Our current laws don’t allow for fee negotiation unless explicitly stated,” Wilkins said. “The council was not comfortable giving that authority to the police chief and city manager.”

Until a formal policy is developed, all impound fee disputes will be directed to the council on a case-by-case basis.

A paving project near City Hall and the Fire Hall is moving forward, but not without procedural hiccups. The council will consider an engineering agreement at its June 24 meeting, with hopes to seek bids in early July.

The city also discussed potential solutions to its aging curb stop infrastructure. Wilkins reported that approximately 30 curb stops—underground valves that control water flow—are in need of repair.

While no action was taken, the council is exploring whether to budget $100,000 annually for repairs or offer incentives to property owners. Since 2018, the city has not enforced mandatory repairs for failing curb stops.

“We’re trying to determine how much of that responsibility the city wants to take on,” Wilkins said. “But any decision will have a direct impact on water rates, as the water and sewer funds must remain self-sufficient.”

The next Ogallala City Council meeting is scheduled for June 24. At that time, the council is expected to revisit the fireworks ban and formalize plans for the paving project.

As Wilkins noted, the goal remains to keep the city informed and responsive, even during a summer season filled with uncertainty.

“Our community shows up. Whether it’s for fireworks, street repairs, or civic discussions,” he said. “That’s what keeps Ogallala moving forward.”

As a result, the city is stepping away from organizing future July 4th celebrations, encouraging civic groups to take the lead.“In years past, it was local organizations like the Chamber putting on these shows,” Wilkins said. “Now it’s time to return that responsibility to the community.”The council confirmed that while the city won’t manage future events, it remains open to financially supporting qualified civic or private efforts.<h2>Transit Software and Federal Mandates</h2>In other business, the council approved a contract for federally mandated public transit scheduling software, despite concerns over upcoming state budget cuts that may slash funding by as much as 30%.“We don’t like the software, and it will disrupt how we currently manage transit,” Wilkins said. “But we’re mandated to have it, so we went ahead with the purchase this year to avoid further complications down the road.”The council also passed a resolution enabling Ogallala to enter into the 5311 Federal Transit Administration program for ongoing funding, despite the uncertainty surrounding future allocations.<h2>Council Declines Fee Negotiation Policy</h2>An item brought forward by Police Chief James Herman and Wilkins aimed to allow for negotiation of vehicle impound fees under extenuating circumstances. The council, however, rejected the proposal.“Our current laws don’t allow for fee negotiation unless explicitly stated,” Wilkins said. “The council was not comfortable giving that authority to the police chief and city manager.”Until a formal policy is developed, all impound fee disputes will be directed to the council on a case-by-case basis.<h2>Street Projects and Curb Stop Challenges</h2>A paving project near City Hall and the Fire Hall is moving forward, but not without procedural hiccups. The council will consider an engineering agreement at its June 24 meeting, with hopes to seek bids in early July.The city also discussed potential solutions to its aging curb stop infrastructure. Wilkins reported that approximately 30 curb stops—underground valves that control water flow—are in need of repair.While no action was taken, the council is exploring whether to budget $100,000 annually for repairs or offer incentives to property owners. Since 2018, the city has not enforced mandatory repairs for failing curb stops.“We’re trying to determine how much of that responsibility the city wants to take on,” Wilkins said. “But any decision will have a direct impact on water rates, as the water and sewer funds must remain self-sufficient.”<h2>Looking Ahead</h2>The next Ogallala City Council meeting is scheduled for June 24. Levi Fisher, chairman of the Buffalo Bill Rodeo Committee, and Justin Thompson, co-chair, joined Derek Beck of the North Platte Post this week to preview the annual event, which runs through June 21 as part of NebraskaLand Days.

“We’re now the largest rodeo in Nebraska with what we’ve increased our purse to,” said Fisher. “It’s all about trying to up ourselves every year. Everybody knows about NebraskaLand Days and the Buffalo Bill Rodeo—we just want to keep building on that legacy.”

Organizers credit community support, longstanding sponsorships and a deep roster of volunteers for the rodeo’s continued success and national reputation. Fisher noted that North Platte’s pride in hosting the event fuels its growth and helps attract top-tier rodeo athletes.

“Guys that have been part of NebraskaLand Days for 40 years still want to see this grow,” he said. “It’s our chance to showcase North Platte and kick off the summer.”

This year’s rodeo will once again feature livestock from Beutler and Son, whose elite stock frequently appears at the National Finals Rodeo (NFR). Thompson emphasized the importance of quality animals to the rodeo’s success.

“These are true animal athletes,” he said. “They get better every year, just like the cowboys and cowgirls. Beutler and Son bring the kind of stock that contestants can win on.”

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (June 10, 2025)&nbsp;— The Miss Rodeo Nebraska Organization is preparing to launch its 70th anniversary celebration this Sunday, June 15, with a full week of events in North Platte, coinciding with the start of NebraskaLand Days.

The festivities begin at 10 a.m. Sunday at the Wild West Arena with the horsemanship competition, a public event showcasing contestants’ riding skills. Miss contestants will ride horses not their own, while teen contestants will compete on their personal mounts. A community barbecue and raffle will follow at the pavilion, and the speech competition will take place at 5 p.m. at North Platte Community College.

“This is such a great opportunity for the public to come out and see what these young women are capable of,” said Charlotte Wagner, a board member with the Miss Rodeo Nebraska Organization. “Horsemanship is a huge part of what we do, and it’s really exciting to watch.”

This year’s competition features three Miss contestants and two Teen contestants. The organization is also welcoming back former titleholders as part of its 70th anniversary celebration.

On Monday, June 16, the annual Miss Rodeo Nebraska Style Show will be held at Venue 304, beginning with a social hour at 6 p.m. The event will include a fashion show and vendor booths, offering a more intimate and formal setting than in previous years.

The Miss Teen Rodeo Nebraska Coronation is scheduled for Tuesday evening at the college, moved from its traditional midday slot to allow more community members to attend after work.

The new Miss Rodeo Nebraska will be crowned Wednesday night during the rodeo at 7:30 p.m. at the Wild West Arena. Visiting royalty, including Miss Rodeo America and five state queens, will be in attendance throughout the week.

“Even after the coronation, the work isn’t done,” Wagner said. “There’s still paperwork, appearances, and a lot of behind-the-scenes effort that continues through Thursday.”

One of the key items on the agenda is a recommendation from city administration to prohibit the discharge and sale of fireworks within city limits. Officials cite higher-than-average winds and lower-than-normal rainfall as reasons for the proposed ban, which they say is in the best interest of public safety.

The council will also review a license application from Austin Wheeler, who has passed his exam to become a journeyman plumbing contractor, and consider a software and license agreement with CTS Software for federally mandated public transit scheduling.

Street improvements are also on the docket. The council will discuss specifications and a bid opening date for Project 2025-2, which includes curb, gutter, driveway, sidewalk, and cross pan replacements on sections of West and East 2nd Street. The project is part of the city’s 2024-25 Capital Improvement Plan.

In other business, the council will address a proposed rebate policy for property owners who repair inoperable curb stops within 60 days of notification. City staff estimate more than 30 such curb stops have gone unrepaired since 2019, potentially impacting future water rates.

Comedian Tyler Walsh Will Headline Comedy Night in North Platte with Jill Carlson and Billie J

NORTH PLATTE, Neb - A powerful moment of remembrance will take place Monday afternoon at Cody Park in North Platte at 3:30pm as the National EMS Memorial Service’s "Moving Honors" procession makes a solemn stop to pay tribute to emergency medical personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty.

The 6,500-mile cross-country journey began in California and will end at Arlington National Cemetery near Washington, D.C., where the names of fallen EMS professionals will be honored in a national ceremony. At the center of the procession is a specially wrapped ambulance carrying this year’s “Tree of Life,” a symbolic memorial sealed during the journey and unveiled only at the final service.

Hosted by AmeriPro Health, a local EMS and healthcare provider, the North Platte event at 3:30pm today (Monday, June 9) will have members of the public, first responders, and local officials—including Mayor Brandon Kelliher—under Cody Park’s picnic shelter. Multiple volunteer EMS and fire departments from across the region will be escorting the memorial vehicle through Nebraska.

The event offers residents a rare and moving opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices of emergency workers and show support for the families they leave behind.

The North Platte Public Library will welcome Nebraska author Colby Coash this Saturday, June 14 at 1 p.m. for its next "Author Talk," hosted by the library’s One Book 4 North Platte: Lincoln County Reads committee.

Coash, who grew up near the Niobrara River in Bassett, Nebraska, will discuss his book Running Naked, a memoir that reflects on personal challenges, healing, and renewal. This marks the first time since 2019 that a featured author has visited the group in person.

“This is our seventh book, and only the second time we've featured a Nebraska author,” said committee member Sherry Polk. “It’s really exciting to have someone local whose story can resonate with our community.”

The event is free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase for $19.99, with additional copies stocked at A to Z Books in North Platte. Refreshments will be served, and attendees will have the chance to participate in a Q&amp;A session with the author.

The Community Reads program has been active since 2018 and is modeled after similar successful initiatives like One Book One Lincoln.

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. — The spotlight shone bright on North Platte this weekend as Gabriella Swift and Makinzie Gregory were crowned the 2025 titleholders in the annual Miss Nebraska Scholarship Competition.

Swift, representing Douglas County, was named Miss Nebraska’s Teen 2025, while Gregory, representing Old West Balloon Fest, was crowned Miss Nebraska 2025 during the final night of competition. Both young women will go on to represent the Cornhusker State at the national Miss America’s Teen and Miss America competitions, respectively.

Throughout the weeklong pageant held in North Platte, contestants competed in a series of categories that highlighted their poise, performance, service, and scholarship.

During Night One, Gregory won the Evening Gown Competition, while the Miss Nebraska Talent Competition ended in a tie between Miss Douglas County Alayna Wilson and Miss Omaha Jacee Pfeifer. In the teen division, Cora Frans, Miss Midwest’s Teen, claimed the Talent Competition, and Ella-Kathryn Anderson, Miss Omaha’s Teen, won the Evening Gown Competition.

On Night Two, Swift impressed judges with her performance to win the Miss Nebraska’s Teen Talent Competition, while Gregory took top honors in Miss Nebraska Talent. Frans earned a second Evening Gown win in the teen division, and Wilson captured the Miss Evening Gown title.

Community service was also in the spotlight, with Anna Meier winning the Teen Community Service Award. In the Miss division, Alayna Wilson placed first, and Sierra Little took second.

The Miss Nebraska Scholarship Program, held annually in North Platte since 1937, empowers young women from across the state through education, leadership, and community service opportunities.

NORTH PLATTE, Neb - When Jim Gragg takes vacation, he goes to work, and loves every minute of it.

For the past fifty years, the Tryon, Neb. man has spent four days every June in North Platte, volunteering at the Buffalo Bill Rodeo. And even though it’s work, he loves it.

Since 1974, Gragg has untied calves after every tie-down roping run at the rodeo.

He was a high school sophomore when he began helping, and he’s never missed a performance or Wednesday morning slack.

And even though it’s work, he loves it.Since 1974, Gragg has untied calves after every tie-down roping run at the rodeo.He was a high school sophomore when he began helping, and he’s never missed a performance or Wednesday morning slack.He drives from his ranch south of Tryon every day, instead of staying in North Platte. It’s easier that way, because he can take care of ranch chores on the place he and wife Judy own. He puts on about 600 miles in the four-day period.After each tie-down roping run, he and another man run to the calf and take the rope off, handing it back to the roper. It’s not a hard job, but with about 140-150 ropers throughout the four days of rodeo, it requires the ability to make the repeated trip from the side of the arena, to the horse, roper and calf, and back again.Last year, Gragg was given the Trail Boss Award, an annual award given to volunteers who exemplify dedication and going above and beyond the call of duty to support the rodeo or its auxiliary events.<figure>

 </figure>Gragg didn’t know he was receiving the award last year till he heard his name called. It was a big surprise, he said. “I was headed to the catch pen, and I saw all these people I know,” he said. He was escorted to the middle of the arena, where he was presented with the award.“I was shocked, I was just so shocked,” he said. “Coming home that night, we generally have the radio on, but I was so wound, I rattled all the way home.”As soon as he got home, he hung the plaque. “I found a spot and hung it on the wall.”Gragg, along with other volunteers, helps with the calves and steers, making sure they’re sorted in the correct pens. When Hadley Barrett was announcing the rodeo, he always opened a gate to the catch pen, so Hadley could ride his horse into it during the bull riding.Gragg loves every part of the rodeo, “everything,” he said. One of the highlights is for him to meet the rodeo stars who compete in North Platte. “I’ve met so many neat people,” he said, like (world champion tie-down roper) Tuf Cooper. One morning at slack, he was roping, and I thought, I’d just as well shake his hand. I’ll never get another chance. It’s neat to see all these people and be a part of their life, at least for a few seconds.”Gragg and his wife Judy raise cattle and quarter horses. She usually doesn’t accompany him to the rodeo, but she was there when he received the Trail Boss Award.A humble man, he was grateful to receive the award. “It meant the world to me. I never dreamed in a million, in a million-plus years, they’d even consider me for this award. It means the world to me.”The time he spends at the rodeo is special to him.“I just consider those four days my vacation. I just love it.”This year’s rodeo is June 18-21 with nightly shows at 7:30 pm.
